Another Reason the Arnold Classic Weekend Should Not Be in Columbus
Tuesday, March 4th, 2008The 2008 Arnold Classic and Arnold Sports Festival was a huge success this year. Yet, all weekend I heard people complain about having to travel to Columbus, Ohio in February for the event. In addition to complaints about the weather, professional bodybuilding, the cornerstone of the Arnold Classic Weekend, is given short thrift by the local media. Take a look at the local newspaper, the Columbus Dispatch, where some of the most prominent pro bodybuilders in the sport are misidentified. Shawn Ray is identified as Kevin Levrone and Vince Taylor is identified as Ronnie Coleman. (The error has now been corrected in the online version of the article.)
