Second, It is the organizer's duty to at least inform the participants or athletes of their even whether or not a doping test is expected to be conducted at the course of the tournament. (which normally happens after the final results and winners were announced particularly the top 3 which may represent that country).

The excuse of not know why these athlete left the venue is completely out of context.Is it because once again, the “Belgian Federation” wants to again prove that they are completely against this sport? I must admit, IFBB Olympia, these organization does implement doping test but do you think their athletes never use anything at the course of the preparation. just like any other sports, athletes may or may not use sport enhancing drugs on the course of training preparation but to be able not to get detected during the doping test is another goal.

My verdict,
The organizers could've informed the athletes that doping test is mandatory right after the winner had been announced.

Second, the athletes must also do their homework not only on diet and training but also in knowing which organization conducts these test and be prepared for it, unless otherwise there is another organization that allows the free use of substance on their events.

Lastly, the doping office also has the duties to ensure that they conduct a qualitative correct doping practices. the fact that these athletes ran away from them may also indicate that these doping officials or organizations have one something in the past that may have lead to that negative impression.

In the end, the sport of bodybuilding created even a more negative impression in public, but does the publics knows that even normal individuals who are not competing uses substance for their own self gratification?
This actions will never solve the problem and will only widen the gap between doping officials and athletes.

Sports enhancing drug ( as what it is called in the family category) is use to enhance sport performance ( obviously!) but to be able to get that best top performance condition, we as athletes also train hard and do major sacrifices just to be on top. but does the public knows that?

It was them who announced themselves before the first athlete had even signed in. The list of forbidden substances is so ridiculous, that you can almost get fined for having a glass of water. What would you do on a rather small contest (20 participants to be devided over all categories!) not knowing if your nasal spray is or is not considered as doping ?
The word was spread that the contest would not take place. So everyone went home and called the few friends and family who would come see the event. The max 50 spectators were advised not to bother coming over.
So no athletes fled the scene. No one was oiled in or in tanga. And the 300 spectators who had to go home were in fact 3 in total.

What's worse; Dr Cooman (the main official) went to the press to spread his version before any conclusion could be made.

And the Kafka-like story continues; all pre-registered athletes received a letter from the government, telling we were guilty of doping practices because they fled a control. The rules however are clear; an athlete needs to be informed that he is due for a test, when he has entered the competition, by leaflet on the center stage and on the dressing room entrance. No one entered the competition, no one was asked for any ID … Nobody refused any test.

An unnecessary disciplinary hearing was held jul 06 and all were acquitted.

Still the government hasn't harassed us enough; we all just received notice that they are appealing the acquittance !

Frustrating how an innocent hobby can turn into a which hunt !

The main point of the NCOBB letter is to be critical of Hans Cooman for seemingly forgetting that there is a natural fed in Belgian and of the fact that the NCOBB contacts his office in advance of each comp to invite them to attend for testing. They also want the testing authority to link the positive tests to the applicable federations.

Apart from the tongue in cheek comment about running out of back doors, as far as I read the text the NCOBB is in no real way having a go at NABBA or its athletes.
